Important Patient Notice

Dear Patient,

We will be changing our computer system from Thursday 3rd February 2022 to Wednesday 9th February 2022. This is a Bury wide initiative and throughout 2022 Practice’s across Bury will be undergoing the changes to their computer systems.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

Our electronic prescription service is being temporarily switched off from Tuesday 1st February to Thursday 10th February 2022. This means that any prescriptions ordered and issued between these dates will have to be done on paper and collected from the surgery.

Electronic Prescription Ordering (Patient Services)

Our online services (Patient Services – for those that order prescriptions this way) will end on Monday 31st January 2022. During this period, if you need to order a repeat prescription and this would be your usual method of doing it, the simplest way would be to call our prescription line on 0161 796 1851 from 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.00pm Monday – Friday.

Please have your list of your usual prescriptions to hand when you speak to the member of staff on the repeat prescription line. Once our online services are up and running again which will be approximately 1st March 2022 we will text or email you to advise that you are reregistered to use this service. There may be some additional steps you need to follow on the device you use to complete the set up of the new online ordering system.

New Patient Registration

We will temporarily be unable to register any new patients on our system from Wednesday 26th January 2022 to Monday 21st February 2022.

Telephoning The Surgery During The Change To Our New Computer System

Our telephone lines will be open as normal during the change over period to our new computer system with the exception of Tuesday 8th February 2022 our telephone lines will not open until 9am. From 8am until 9am BARDOC our deputising service will provide urgent cover for any patients that may need it. Please just telephone our surgery number 0161 766 6622 in the usual way. If you can avoid calling until after 9am on this day unless it is something urgent this will be very helpful to us.

During the period Thursday 3rd February until Wednesday 9th February this is the time our computer changes occur. If you have any urgent or matters that may require our immediate attention please always contact us in the usual way. However, for any routine matters that will wait until after this period we would be grateful if you would contact us to deal with any routine issues after Wednesday 9th February 2022.
